.
Today is the prettiest day we’ve had in a week here in Southern Maine. We’ve had several long days of wet weather, thunderstorms, and grey skies. Today, however, dawned bright and sunny. As the day wore on, the weather just kept getting better.
Amazed at the blue skies earlier, I shot and tweeted this un-retouched, unedited photo from my front yard. A very quick-witted Lindsey, one of my former middle school science students, noticed that the cloud in it looked just like a kiss.
As soon as she said it, it became totally obvious. What a nice little gift from Mother Nature!
Perhaps it is a kiss and a promise not to dump rain on us all summer?
We can only hope!
Aloha!

We’ve had the same type of weather. Tomorrow it will all be cleared away, I think.
That’s a cool shot and she was right …it looks like a kiss.
Last year, there were totally blue skies here one day, and three little clouds — the looked like letters, but I couldn’t make out which ones LOL

Posted by AlohaKarina | July 1, 2012, 10:10 pmI’m sure Father Nature is around somewhere. He’s not known to be far away, or to cheat……….
Posted by Russel Ray Photos | June 30, 2012, 9:36 amOoops, never even considered a Father Nature. I figured it was Mother Nature and Father Time…?
Posted by AlohaKarina | July 1, 2012, 8:12 pmMother Nature and Father Time got married a couple of years ago and, in the interest of being modern, Father Time took Mother Nature’s last name………..lol
Posted by Russel Ray Photos | July 1, 2012, 8:13 pmOhhhh. Okay. I was wondering!
Posted by AlohaKarina | July 1, 2012, 9:41 pmI used to love cloud watching – I’d lie on my back at the cottage for hours, picking out animals and shapes with my nieces. Such a great image
Posted by lostinagreatbook | July 2, 2012, 10:20 pmI love looking at clouds, too. We’ve seen some amazing clouds. Even dragons!
Posted by AlohaKarina | July 2, 2012, 10:38 pmSadly, another Russel Ray camping trip comes to an end………………..
